Ghosts of Mars (2001) is a science fiction horror film directed by John Carpenter. Set in the year 2176, the film takes place on Mars, where a mining colony has uncovered a mysterious and ancient Martian civilization.

When a group of miners inadvertently releases a malevolent spirit, the colony is soon overrun by hostile, ghostly entities that possess the colonists and turn them into violent, zombie-like creatures.

The plot follows a team of police officers, led by Officer Melanie Ballard (played by Natasha Henstridge), who are sent to the colony to bring back a notorious criminal.
