Shrek 5 (2025)
After years of living in the swamp with his family, Shrek, Fiona, and their children are enjoying a peaceful life. However, in Shrek 5 (2025), their calm and happy existence is about to be shaken once more by an unexpected twist that will send them on a new adventure. When an ancient curse threatens the fairy tale kingdom, Shrek must once again step up as the unlikely hero, this time with the help of his family and old friends.
The movie begins with Shrek struggling to keep up with his role as a family man.
His children are growing older and getting into mischief, Fiona is balancing her royal duties with motherhood, and Shrek just wants some peace and quietโpreferably with a good mud bath and an ogre-sized meal. But when an old rival from Shrek’s past, Lord Maximus, an ambitious fairy tale villain with a personal vendetta against Shrek, returns with a magical plot to take over Farquaadโs kingdom, the peaceful life they have built is threatened.
Maximus is seeking to unleash a curse that will permanently transform the fairy tale world, turning all magical creatures back into the terrifying beasts of old. With his army of creatures and dark magic, he intends to rule the lands once and for all, starting with Shrek’s swamp.
Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots, and even Dragon must rally together to stop Maximus and restore peace to the kingdom. Along the way, they encounter new friends and foes, including a mysterious figure from the past who holds the key to unlocking the curse and saving the fairy tale world.
