Backcountry is a Canadian survival horror thriller film directed Adam MacDonald. It was released in 2014 and is inspired by true events. The film centers on the story of a couple who venture into the remote wilderness of Canada, only to encounter terrifying dangers that test their survival skills and the strength of their relationship.

The story follows Alex (played by Jeff Roop) and Jenn (played by Missy Peregrym), a couple from the city who decide to take a camping trip in the Canadian backcountry.
