The Wolverine’s story continues in Logan 2 (2025), a gritty and emotional sequel set in the X-Men universe. Directed James Mangold, who helmed the critically acclaimed Logan (2017), the film explores the aftermath of Logan’s sacrifice and the emergence of a new generation of mutants fighting for survival in a hostile world.

Set years after the events of Logan, the world is still reeling from the near-extinction of mutants. Laura Kinney (Dafne Keen), also known as X-23, has grown into a fierce warrior and protector of the surviving mutants. As she leads a group of young mutants across the dystopian landscape, a powerful enemy emerges—a government-backed organization known as EdenCorp, which seeks to eradicate all remaining mutantkind while exploiting their DNA for weaponized clones.
