Story Overview

In a fantastical city called Element City, where the natural elements โ€” Fire, Water, Air, and Earth โ€” live side by side, we meet Ember Lumen, a fiery young woman who struggles with her temper and sense of belonging. Her life changes when she meets Wade Ripple, a go-with-the-flow, emotional water guy who challenges everything sheโ€™s ever known about the world โ€” and about herself.

Despite being literally incompatible (fire and water donโ€™t mix!), Ember and Wade embark on a journey that teaches them how much they have in common beneath the surface. Along the way, they navigate cultural expectations, family loyalty, and personal dreams in a city that isnโ€™t always welcoming to difference.
