Plot Summary:

Set in the early 1970s, Ip Man 5 explores the final untold chapter of Grandmaster Ip Man’s legacy. As his health begins to decline, Ip Man seeks peace in Hong Kong but is pulled into conflict once more when a powerful crime syndicate begins extorting martial arts schools across the city.

When one of his former students is brutally attacked for refusing to pay protection money, Ip Man is forced to step into the fray. Despite growing physically weaker, his wisdom, mastery of Wing Chun, and spiritual strength have never been greater.

The story also introduces a young Bruce Lee, who begins to forge his own path — bridging East and West under Ip Man’s guidance. Together, they face a brutal American fighter and war veteran who challenges Chinese martial arts to a public showdown.
