Story Overview

Years after defeating Pitch Black, the Guardians—Jack Frost, North (Santa), Tooth Fairy, Sandman, and Bunnymund—have brought peace and wonder to the world’s children.

But something ancient stirs…

A long-banished being known as The Hollow King, a forgotten spirit of despair and silence, has broken free from the void. Fueled by resentment and ancient power, he begins draining belief from the world, causing children to forget their dreams, their joy—and even the Guardians themselves.

To stop him, the Guardians must forge an alliance with new mythical figures:
