Plot Summary

Years after the events of the first film, a new survivor colony in the ruins of New York thrives under the belief that Dr. Robert Neville died a hero. But everything changes when a hidden lab uncovers a video log revealing Neville survived—choosing a different path in an alternate ending.

Now in hiding, Neville (Will Smith) has learned the creatures—known as Darkseekers—aren’t mindless monsters, but a new species evolving their own society. When a radical survivor faction led by Michael B. Jordan’s character seeks to wipe them out, Neville must step forward once more—not as a destroyer, but as a bridge between worlds.
