Plot Summary

After the brutal events of the first film, Earthrealm prepares for the true Mortal Kombat tournament, sanctioned by the Elder Gods. But Shang Tsung, furious after his defeat, returns to Outworld to awaken a more powerful threat—Shao Kahn, the warlord emperor of Outworld himself.

As fighters from all realms are summoned to a sacred battleground, the fate of Earth now rests in the hands of Cole Young, Sonya Blade, Liu Kang, and the resurrected Johnny Cage—a Hollywood icon with more ego than experience.

Meanwhile, Sub-Zero has been reborn as Noob Saibot, and Kitana appears with secret knowledge that could destroy Shao Kahn’s plan—or doom Earthrealm if she chooses wrongly.
