Navy officer Tom Farrell is to report to the Secretary of Defence, David Brice, at the Pentagon. But, his brief affair with Susan Atwell, Brice’s mistress, gets him in trouble when she is found dead.

A tense, suspenseful and fast paced thriller directed by Roger Donaldson which I’d actually forgotten about until I was browsing through my watchlist and I had also forgotten how good it is. This is the movie that made Kevin Costner the leading man he is today and it’s easy to see why. Full of tension and suspense and with a talented cast which includes the legendary Gene Hackman, Will Patton, Howard Duff, George Dzundza, Jason Bernard, Iman, Fred Thompson Robert Kerman, David Paymer and Brad Pitt stars as uncredited extra in the ball party scene. Add to this a great score by Maurice Jarre and the only issue I really have with this movie is that there are a couple plot holes, but the fast pacing really makes up for it.
