The Malloys (Emmet and Brendan Malloy) made their theatrical film directorial debut with ‘Out Cold’, a 2001 comedy starring Jason London, Willie Garson, and Lee Majors, with standout performances from Zach Galifianakis, Flex Alexander, David Denman, and Thomas Lennon.
Set in the picturesque Bull Mountain, an Alaskan ski resort founded by Herbert “Papa” Munz, the film follows Rick (London) and his tight-knit group of friends, who work and live on the mountain. However, their carefree lives are disrupted when Ted Munz, Papa’s son, announces plans to sell the resort to John Majors, a ruthless ski tycoon.
As John attempts to win over the rowdy crew, Rick is recruited to help facilitate the transition. Hilarity ensues as the group’s dynamic is put to the test.
