๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅSee, a television series created by Steven Knight and produced by Apple TV+, premiered in November 2019. Set in a dystopian future where humanity has lost the ability to see, the show explores themes of survival, power, and the nature of human relationships in a world where vision is a myth. With a star-studded cast led by Jason Momoa, See invites viewers into a unique and richly imagined universe that challenges the senses and perceptions.
Plot Overview
The series is set in a world over 600 years after a virus has wiped out most of humanity, leaving the survivors blind. In this new society, vision is regarded as a myth, and communities have adapted to their blindness through heightened other senses and a unique way of life. The story revolves around Baba Voss (Jason Momoa), the chief of the Alkenny tribe, who is fiercely protective of his family, especially his adoptive children, who are the first humans to be born with the ability to see in generations.
The peace of Baba Voss’s tribe is shattered when the existence of his children, particularly his daughter Kofun (Baba Vossโ€™s son) and his daughter Haniwa (the daughter of a seer), is discovered by the Witchfinder General, Jacopo (Christian Camargo). As a result, a fierce struggle ensues between the Alkenny tribe and the forces of the powerful Queen Kane (Sylvia Hoeks), who seeks to control and eliminate any threat to her reign, including the childrenโ€™s ability to see.
