“Alpha” is set in Europe approximately 20,000 years ago and follows the story of a young hunter named Keda, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee. Keda is a member of a tribe that embarks on a dangerous hunt for bison. During the hunt, Keda becomes separated from his group and is left for dead after a violent encounter with a bison herd. Injured and alone, he is forced to navigate the harsh wilderness with minimal supplies and the constant threat of predators.
As Keda struggles to survive, he encounters a wounded wolf pup that has also been abandoned. Initially wary of each other, Keda and the wolf form a bond of mutual dependence. As they face the challenges of the unforgiving environment together, their relationship evolves from one of mere survival to a deep companionship. The film explores how this unlikely partnership helps both Keda and the wolf overcome their fears and adapt to their harsh surroundings.
