The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)

“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” (2021) is a supernatural horror film directed by Michael Chaves and is the third installment in The Conjuring series. The movie once again stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren, the famous paranormal investigators, and is based on a chilling real-life case from 1981.

The story revolves around the trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, the first known case in the United States where demonic possession was used as a defense in a murder trial. The Warrens are called in to investigate after a young boy named David Glatzel is seemingly possessed by a demon, which later transfers to Arne.

After committing a violent crime, Arne claims that he was under the control of a demonic force. The Warrens delve deep into the dark secrets behind the possession, uncovering a sinister curse that connects to a mysterious occultist.

The film combines the haunted house scares of the previous Conjuring movies with a courtroom drama and detective-style investigation. Known for its tense atmosphere, jump scares, and strong performances, especially by Wilson and Farmiga, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It explores the battle between good and evil while highlighting the Warrens’ unwavering commitment to helping those in spiritual danger.
