Darkness Falls (2003)

“Darkness Falls” (2003) is a supernatural horror film directed by Jonathan Liebesman. The story is centered around the legend of Matilda Dixon, also known as the “Tooth Fairy,” a woman from the small town of Darkness Falls who was wrongfully executed over a century ago. After her death, she returns as a vengeful spirit who haunts the town, attacking anyone who sees her in the dark.
The plot follows Kyle Walsh (played by Chaney Kley), who as a child encountered the spirit of the Tooth Fairy and barely survived. Now an adult, Kyle returns to Darkness Falls to help his childhood friend, Caitlin (Emma Caulfield), whose younger brother is being terrorized by the same entity. Kyle must confront his deepest fears and battle the malevolent force that thrives in darkness.
“Darkness Falls” is known for its eerie atmosphere, jump scares, and the concept of a horror villain that can only be avoided by staying in the light. Although it received mixed reviews, the film gained attention for its chilling premise and remains a staple in early 2000s horror cinema.
