Pixar’s Coco 2 (2025) is the highly anticipated sequel to the beloved Coco (2017), which captured hearts worldwide with its celebration of family, culture, and the power of music. In this new adventure, Miguel returns to the Land of the Dead for a deeper exploration of family history, personal legacy, and the enduring magic of music.

Several years after the events of Coco, Miguel is now a young adult pursuing a successful music career. However, his busy life causes him to lose touch with his family traditions. On Día de los Muertos, Miguel discovers that a forgotten part of his family’s past is disappearing from the Land of the Dead.

To restore his family’s legacy, Miguel must return to the afterlife. Reuniting with Hector, Imelda, and the rest of his ancestors, Miguel sets out on a journey across unexplored realms of the Land of the Dead, including “The Forgotten Shores,” where memories of the long-forgotten fade forever. Along the way, he encounters new characters, including mysterious spirits and legendary musicians from Mexico’s past.
