Black Water: Abyss, directed by Andrew Traucki, is a standalone sequel to the 2007 survival horror film Black Water. This 2020 installment plunges viewers into a nerve-wracking tale of survival against natureโs deadliest predator in a claustrophobic, underwater setting.
Set in the wilderness of Northern Australia, the film follows five friendsโEric, Jennifer, Yolanda, Viktor, and Cashโwho venture into an unexplored cave system. What starts as an adventure to escape the pressures of modern life quickly turns into a nightmare when a sudden storm floods the caves, trapping them inside.
