Snowpiercer (2014) is a visually striking and thought-provoking sci-fi thriller set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity’s last survivors are confined to a massive, ever-moving train. The film is based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige and explores the desperate conditions faced by people at the bottom of a rigid class system, set against the backdrop of a frozen, decimated Earth.

In the near future, an attempt to combat global warming has gone catastrophically wrong, plunging the world into a new ice age. The only survivors are aboard the Snowpiercer, a massive train that continuously travels around the Earth, perpetually circumnavigating the globe.

The train is divided into strict class compartments, with the wealthy elite living in the luxurious front cars, while the impoverished are relegated to the back, living in squalor.

Curtis (Chris Evans), a member of the lower class, leads a revolt against the oppressive rulers of the train, determined to reach the front and confront the mysterious figure, Wilford (Ed Harris), who controls the Snowpiercer’s fate. Along with his group of rebels, Curtis faces numerous challenges, including brutal military forces, treacherous alliances, and the psychological toll of survival.
