THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM 2 (2024)

The Hunt for Gollum 2 (2024) opens with an eerie, atmospheric shot of Middle-earth, shrouded in fog. The trailer begins with a voiceover from Gandalf (Ian McKellen), warning of a new darkness stirring in the lands beyond Mordor. “The creature is more dangerous than ever… it must be found,” he says ominously, referencing Gollum, who has been missing since the events of the first film.

The camera pans to Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), now older and more battle-worn, who takes on the task of tracking Gollum down once more. The trailer teases an epic journey through uncharted regions of Middle-earth, as Aragorn, along with Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), set out to capture the elusive creature before it falls into the wrong hands. The stakes are higher, with rumours of a new threat: a dark force seeking to harness Gollum’s knowledge of the One Ring for sinister purposes.

The trailer ramps up the tension as we see Gollum (Andy Serkis) running through dense forests, his obsession with the Ring driving him crazier than ever. Gollum’s dual personalities – Smeagol and Gollum – are more conflicted in this film, torn between escaping and returning to their prized treasure. The trailer shows glimpses of intense chase scenes, with Aragorn and his crew traversing dangerous landscapes, from towering mountains to deep caves, relentlessly pursuing the creature.
