Story Summary

In the scorching desert of Iraq, two American soldiers โ€” Sergeant Allen Isaac (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Staff Sergeant Shane Matthews (John Cena) โ€” are sent to investigate a site of a sniper ambush. What starts as a routine mission quickly becomes a deadly trap.

Pinned behind a crumbling wall with no backup, no water, and a sniper watching their every move, Isaac is forced into a tense psychological game. The enemy, hidden and speaking through a stolen radio, begins a chilling cat-and-mouse mind game where survival depends on wit, nerve, and patience.

This isnโ€™t just a battle of bullets โ€” itโ€™s a war of wills.

Why It Grips You

Intense, claustrophobic storytelling โ€” almost the entire film takes place in one location.

A powerful performance by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Taut, minimalistic war thriller with a psychological edge.

Explores the unseen mental toll of war in a unique, raw way.
