Plot Summary

In the heart of Paris, beneath the floorboards of a fine French restaurant, lives Remy, a young rat with a passion for cooking. Unlike the rest of his colony, who scavenge for scraps, Remy dreams of becoming a gourmet chef — inspired by his idol, the late culinary legend Auguste Gusteau, whose motto is: “Anyone can cook.”

Remy’s fate changes when he finds himself separated from his family and ends up right beneath Gusteau’s restaurant. There, he teams up with Linguini, a clumsy garbage boy, and the two form an unlikely alliance. With Remy secretly controlling Linguini by pulling his hair, they cook dishes that astonish critics and guests alike.

But not everyone is thrilled — especially the cold and calculating Chef Skinner, who tries to uncover the truth. And lurking in the background is the infamous food critic Anton Ego, whose review could make or break the restaurant.

This heartwarming tale mixes ambition, identity, friendship, and food, proving that greatness can come from the most unexpected places — even from a rat in a kitchen.
