Plot Summary

In a remote Appalachian town where secrets are buried deeper than the graves, a forensic anthropologist named Dr. Mara Langley (played by Jessica Chastain) is called in to investigate a series of mysterious skeletal remains found in the woods.

But as she digs deeper, Mara uncovers ritualistic patterns, missing persons spanning decades, and a terrifying truth — the bones don’t belong to the dead…
They belong to those who were never supposed to exist.

Haunted by visions and chased by a secretive cult that guards the forest’s dark history, Mara must piece together the puzzle of a forgotten bloodline, unearth the truth of her own past, and survive a town that would rather see her buried than enlightened.
