Overboard (1987)

A cruel but beautiful heiress mocks and cheats a hired carpenter. When she gets amnesia after an accident, he decides to introduce her to regular life by convincing her that they’re husband and wife.
Directed by Garry Marshall this is another great movie that’s totally underrated by the critics, but loved by the fans and this is possibly one of the best rom-coms of the 80s. Real-life partners Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell team up in one of their five on screen collaborations and they’re an absolute joy to watch in this heartwarming laugh out loud comedy and they’re well supported by Edward Herrmann, Roddy McDowall, Katherine Helmond, Jared Rushton, Hector Elizondo and Mike Hagerty, add to this another terrific score from Alan Silvestri and this movie has gone on to become a huge cult classic and one I’ve loved since its release.
